Settings

Here you will learn how the setting points affect your METARMAP. With this knowledge, you can set up your METARMAP the way you like it best. If you want to know how to connect to your METARMAP, then follow the steps here.

Tab - Wi-Fi

Under this tab, the Wi-Fi credentials of your Wi-Fi at your METARMAP's location are entered. Your METARMAP must be within range of this Wi-Fi so that the latest weather data can be queried via the internet. Under the Name (SSID) point, you must enter the name of your Wi-Fi (e.g., FRITZ!Box 7590) and in the Password field, enter the password belonging to the Wi-Fi. If you have entered incorrect credentials, you will be informed here.

If you change your Wi-Fi settings, your METARMAP will restart and the connection via METARMAP Connect will be disconnected. Once your METARMAP is lit up again, you can reconnect via METARMAP Connect to check if the Wi-Fi connection was successful.

Tab - Colors

Using this setting option, you can adjust all colors for the different weather categories. The brightness is regulated via the slider. For the colors of the weather categories, you can also set the color for wind. Then the corresponding LED blinks in the base color and the set wind color, provided the threshold values for the wind animations, which are set in the Wind tab, are exceeded.

Tab - Wind

Under this tab, you can set the threshold values for the wind animations and the frequency of blinking. By default, the LEDs blink every second for the respective wind category. Once the wind speed for Wind or high wind is exceeded, the LED blinks in its base color and the set color in the Colors tab.

Tab - Times

So that your METARMAP doesn't light up all night, you can set the automatic on and off times here. Simply select the time in 24-hour format (e.g., 2 = 2 AM, 14 = 2 PM), where the on time must be strictly less than the off time. You also have the option to let your METARMAP light up permanently. Simply check the Continuous operation checkbox for this.

If you change your time settings, your METARMAP will restart and the connection via METARMAP Connect will be disconnected.

Tab - Update

If there is a more current version, you can update your METARMAP here. You can choose between latest, dev, and test as the update source. Unless otherwise agreed with support, choose main as the source. The other sources are for experimental features and development versions.

If you update your METARMAP, it will restart and the connection via METARMAP Connect will be disconnected.
Never disconnect your METARMAP from power while the update is running!

Restore Default Values

Via the icon, you can get more information about the respective setting point. Here you can also reset your settings to factory defaults. Please note that your METARMAP may restart when resetting the settings.

This only resets the settings to default values. To reset your complete METARMAP to factory settings, follow the steps .
